I stayed there for my birthday, and the hotel’s welcome was expressed with the lightest touch imaginable. A handwritten note; a freshly prepared platter of fruit; a refined dessert; and carefully designed decor. These discreet but sincere attentions gave the place a character of its own. From the large bay windows of my room I enjoyed a majestic view over the city, here a peaceful, almost poetic urban panorama, bathed in light.
